SACHRP Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (formerly known as the National Human Research Protections Advisory Committee)
The Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (formerly known as the National Human Research Protections Advisory Committee) provides expert advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Assistant Secretary for Health on issues and topics pertaining to or associated with the protection of human research subjects. Members of the CGIRB Board and/or CGIRB Operational Officials participate in SACHRP meetings to keep up to date on regulatory issues relating to human research protection and to have input in the legislative process. SACHRP meetings are tentatively scheduled at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA for the following dates:

02/24/08-02/26/08 – The fourth annual accreditation conference will be held in Minneapolis, MN. The conference is geared to individuals from both accredited and non-accredited organizations, including those working on accreditation or those who are new to the accreditation process.
02/25/07-02/27/07– The third annual accreditation conference was held in Baltimore, MD. Over 500 individuals from government, industry, voluntary health agencies, universities, hospitals, independent IRBs, and other research settings were among the participants.
